Fradi are monitoring Harvey Blair, but a written offer for the 22-year-old winger has already arrived from elsewhere.
Another forward has appeared on Ferencváros's radar in this transfer window. According to Sacha Tavolieri, the Hungarian champions are monitoring the situation of Liverpool academy graduate Harvey Blair, although a concrete offer for the 22-year-old has already been submitted by another club.
Three clubs interested in Blair
Tavolieri reports that Widzew Lodz have made a written offer for the Portsmouth player. The Polish side want to convince Blair to move, while Swiss club Servette are also watching alongside Ferencváros. In Fradi's case there are no advanced negotiations yet, so the interest should be kept in perspective - though the situation could change quickly in the coming days. A former Liverpool player would not be a novelty at the club: Naby Keita also arrived from the Reds.
He made his Liverpool debut under Jürgen Klopp
Harvey Blair's name will be familiar mainly to Liverpool supporters. He joined the club's academy at under-12 level, worked his way through the age groups, and in October 2021 Jürgen Klopp gave him a senior debut in a League Cup tie against Preston North End, in a competition Liverpool went on to win. He was unable to establish himself in the squad long term.
He left Liverpool for good in 2024
The winger said goodbye to Liverpool in 2024 when he joined Portsmouth permanently. His contract runs until 2027. Blair is used mainly on the right and left wings but can also play behind the striker, and that versatility could appeal to Ferencváros.
Fradi are waiting
For now Widzew Lodz are closest to signing Blair, with Ferencváros in an observer role. The 22-year-old English forward nevertheless fits the profile the club has in mind: young, able to play in several attacking positions, and schooled at Liverpool's academy.
