According to The Athletic, Vinícius Júnior has once again rejected Real Madrid's contract extension offer, which would have provided him with a net salary of €20 million per season. The positions are very far apart, because the player is demanding a net salary of €30 million and a signing bonus. New talks will take place next week, but the parties are so far from an agreement that there is very little chance of a deal. If the agreement really fails, it would practically mean the Brazilian attacker changing clubs.
Real Madrid forced to act
As is known, Vinícius Júnior's contract expires in 2027, so Real Madrid has no choice but to convince him in the coming weeks: accept Florentino Pérez's conditions to continue working together. However, the Brazilian refuses to acknowledge that the club – citing financial stability – is offering him €10 million less per year than the team's highest-paid star, Kylian Mbappé.
"The situation is also spicy because Vinícius Júnior does not want to leave, but he also does not want to continue assisting in what he considers undignified conditions. Both parties hope that a miracle will happen at next week's negotiations," reacted Mario Roldán Martínez, Fichajes expert.

The defending Premier League champions suggested the player create a situation that facilitates efforts to change clubs. Real Madrid will either let him go below his price now, or they will be forced to give him up for free in the summer of 2027 – both scenarios would suit the Londoners perfectly.
