Barcelona have moved into a strong position for Club Brugge's young forward despite competition from United and Chelsea.
According to CaughtOffside, FC Barcelona have stepped up the pace of negotiations and are now in a very strong position in the race for Club Brugge striker Nicolo Tresoldi. The urgency is explained by the competition: Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are all in the mix. The Belgian club are hoping for €40 million, which is why they earlier turned down a €35 million offer from AS Roma.
Hansi Flick is pulling the strings
Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick knows the 21-year-old Germany under-21 international well from the German youth system. Flick rates his abilities highly and is convinced Tresoldi has the potential to become a European-level star and to define the Catalans' attacking play for years.

Nicolo Tresoldi was born in Italy, and his father Emanuele Tresoldi was also a professional footballer. The family later moved to Germany, so the young talent joined Hannover's academy and made his second-division debut at just 17. He went on to score 12 goals in 57 league games, attracting attention across Europe.
Club Brugge bought him in 2025 for €7.5 million and the investment paid off immediately: Tresoldi became a regular in his first Belgian season, scoring 19 goals and providing 5 assists in 40 competitive matches.
