Is Jules Koundé history? Barcelona could sign his replacement from the Premier League

Conflicting reports surround Jules Koundé's future while Barcelona have reportedly contacted a possible successor.
Contradictory reports continue to circulate about whether Jules Koundé will leave FC Barcelona. Marca and Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano both claim the French defender has not fallen out with Hansi Flick and that his departure is not on the agenda - he would only consider a move if the club's board asked him to. Fichajes, however, understands that Deco has already identified the player who could replace the right-back.
Koundé's agent visited Barcelona's training centre "for some reason"
Social media sources close to the club support the transfer outlets' view. Barca Media reports that Jules Koundé's agent appeared at Barcelona's training complex, the Ciutat Esportiva, on Wednesday. Nobody knows the exact purpose of the meeting, but the Spanish press believes the visit was intended to inform Deco which Premier League clubs would take the defender and on what terms.
The successor could come from Tottenham
Although the player's representative Jonathan Kébé firmly denied that any transfer was discussed, several outlets report that the Catalans have already contacted a possible replacement: Tottenham's Spanish full-back Pedro Porro.
His contract runs until 2031
LaLiga would be familiar territory for the 26-year-old, who previously played for Girona and Valladolid. The major obstacle is that his contract with the ambitious London club runs until 2031, meaning Barcelona would have to negotiate with a club planning for the long term - and would also have to resolve Koundé's own future at the same time.
