- 400g fettuccine
- 100g butter
- 150g parmesan, freshly grated
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Salt

Cook the fettuccine until al dente, reserving a cup of the cooking water.
Melt the butter in a large pan and add the drained pasta. Remove from the heat and gradually stir in the parmesan and a little pasta water until creamy.
Finish with black pepper and serve immediately.
