Classic Cheeseburger
A juicy, thick beef patty with melted cheese, all the classic fixings and a soft bun.
Ingredients
- 600g beef mince (20% fat)
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 burger buns
- Lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles
- Ketchup and mustard
- Salt and pepper
- Butter for toasting buns
Method
Divide the beef into four patties, season well with salt and pepper, and make a small dimple in the centre of each.
Toast the cut sides of the buns in butter until golden. Cook the patties in a hot pan or on a grill for 3-4 minutes per side, adding cheese in the last minute to melt.
Build the burgers with lettuce, tomato, onion, the patty, pickles and your sauces of choice.
