Homemade Naan Bread
Soft, pillowy flatbread cooked in a hot pan and brushed with garlic butter.

Ingredients
- 400g plain flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 7g dried yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- 150g yoghurt
- 150ml warm milk
- 2 tbsp oil
- Salt
- Butter and garlic to brush
Method
Mix the flour, baking powder, yeast, sugar and salt, then add the yoghurt, milk and oil to form a soft dough.
Knead for 8 minutes until smooth, then leave to prove for about an hour until doubled.
Divide into six pieces and roll each into a teardrop shape. Cook in a very hot dry pan or skillet for 1-2 minutes per side until puffed and charred in spots.
Brush immediately with melted garlic butter and serve warm.
